Island tracking Iride robot

The system is made up of two "chain tracking" IRIDE robots placed so
that they can work synchronically.
For the system to work it is necessary to have a working area like that
in the picture, called "working island", where the painting plant is made.

Within the plant a track that follows a predefined route is placed and
the following areas are identified:

- loading area of the pieces to work
- painting area
- unloading area
- area of adjustment walkers opening

In the loading area the operator places the pieces to work on the four
anchors of the automatic walkers, running in turn along the track.

In the painting area are fixed the IRIDE robots called "master" and
"slave" painting the pieces moving along the slides of the tracks on
which they are built. Each robot paints two sides of the pieces.

In the unloading area the operator removes the worked piece to destine
it to the following phases.

In the area of adjustment walkers opening the adjuster adjusts
automatically the distance among the four anchors of the automatic
walkers. This operation is repeated for all the walkers that arrive in
front of the adjuster during the starting of the cycle.

The phase of teaching of the "island" tracking system is like that of
the chain tracking system. In this case the operator must carry out
the teaching of the two sides of the piece with each robot.
The system described is specially fit for environments where there
is no painting chain and for the chair sector. A further advantage is
that the "working island" can vary according to the rooms available in
the working environments.
