The system is made up of a 5 axis anthropomorphous robot (IRIDE)
built in a special structure called carousel. The carousel consists
of a central body to which three extensions are applied.
On each extension or arm of the carousel are built some rotating bearings
called walkers that thanks to a nail adjustable system can house many
kinds of working elements.
The system carries out automatically both the positioning of the element
within the working area of the IRIDE robot and the rotation around its
axis enabling the execution of the process on all the sides of the piece.
The rotation of the carousel enables the user to create a load and
unload area situated outside the painting area, therefore of the working
area of the machine, without prejudice for the safety dispositions in force.
As for the other versions of the IRIDE robot (tracking and on a fixed
platform) the working program is generated by the user through the
teaching procedure.
The teaching procedure is executed directly by the operator moving the
Joystick in such a way as to carry out the job.
Each generated program is then faithfully repeated by the robot system
automatically thanks to the precision and the high speed of sampling
of the movements.
According to the complexity of the processes it is possible to carry
out 100-140 cycles in an hour. The rotation speed of the carousel, once
set during the installation keeps constant, whereas the process speed
can be modified at will to guarantee either a better final result or
an increase in the working cycles.
